Our body shape and bodyweight are determined by the energy (kilocalories) we consume in the form of food and drink, and the energy (kilocalories) we expend in our physical activities. It is a simple fact that, if our energy input is greater than our energy output, our bodies will store excess energy in the form of body fat.

You're Never too Old

Here at Empire Gym, we believe you are never too old to start exercising and improve your health! In fact, adults who take up exercise later in life often show greater physical and mental improvements than their younger counterparts. If you’ve never exercised before, or it’s been a while, there aren’t as many exercise miles on your clock, so you’ll quickly start reaping the rewards.
